The origins of the Hermetica Clan are shrouded in mystery, but it is known that the clan was founded on October 30th, 2020 AD, as stated on the Age of Empires II DE in-game description page. The clan reportedly formed when players named Hypnos, MetaphysicGing and Lemmy, came together on Steam, forming a chat group to enjoy casual and amateur gameplay while maintaining a secretive approach to their activities.
On August 28th, 2021, the founding members decided to establish a Discord server, allowing them to communicate through voice channels and solidify their newfound and unexpected friendship. A few months later, the clan warmly embraced a group of friendly players, lovingly referred to as “The First Wave,” comprising Mohtal, Henrik, Eamzy, Smiley, Pot of Greed, Monk, ByDangerous, Ronin, and Zachhalil.
Within one year, the server transformed into an ideal platform for fostering an international community, with people coming from all corners of the world. Notably, TheRevMiracle, Kie, StuartCheedle, JadeArrowGamer, known as the Second Wave, and LazyOneKenobi, Golden Royal, Webber, and Sword, as the Third Wave, constituted the bedrock for a supportive and mature circle.
In 2023, the Hermetica Clan not only reached one thousand members but also witnessed the arrival of prominent Twitch Casters, professional players, and esteemed names from the global AoE2 community. The Clan also begun to host cutting-edge tournaments such as the Battle of The Backseat and the Enigma Cup, aimed at bringing together professional and novice players.

They constantly challenge their skills through a variety of epic battles, including tournaments and in-house matches.
