Alolan Friends LLC Discord
Through a collaboration between Alolan Friends LLC and Awesomefriend, there has been a collaborative agreement in place to transform the previous “PokeTCG” discord into “Alolan Friends”. Alolan Friends LLC will serve as the online store and distributor for Pokemon singles, slabs, and sealed product.
Alolan Friends aims to create an online market place that values transparency and card condition honesty to allow buyers to be certain that they are buying a quality card without the dangers of per say, Tcgplayer purchasing, where you are not certain what card you are about to get. In addition, Alolan Friends offers competitive pricing that is often lower than market price on Tcgplayer, while buying collections at higher rates than most shops. In addition, trade-ins are encouraged and offered at 5% above cash buy prices to encourage people to trade in their collections for chases in the store.
Weekly Discussion Threads
Every week or even every day, a question is tossed into a channel, this could be anything from “What’s your favorite alt art from Sword and Shield era?”, to “What do you think is the most overpriced card?”. Can also be controversial such as, “Which grading company do you refuse to ever use again?”
Scavenger Hunt Giveaways
We post a random card or category at a certain time that most people are free such as 5:30 PM PST, whoever is able to find that card in their collection and take a picture of it with their username and timestamp gets giveaways points. At the end of the month, the amount of points become giveaway tickets and are rolled to see who wins the giveaway, giveaway can be close to $100.
Run Drafts for New Sets Japanese/English
Either through discord or twitch, drafts can be run to increase traffic to the discord. Plenty of people want to draft with drafts and/or with an audience. With AlolanFriends distribution prices for Japanese products, drafts can be cheaper than most places.
