Getting banned from a golf club usually means finding another hobby. The troublemakers in Really Illegal Golf have a different solution: sneak back in after dark and play anyway. This chaotic Steam co-op game turns golf into an illegal activity, with security guards, surveillance cameras, patrols, and plenty of opportunities to make a complete mess of the course.
A normal golf club won’t help much when a guard is chasing you. Players can sneak around security, use golf balls to smash obstacles, distract or knock out guards, and improvise their way through each location. There’s even a customizable arsenal featuring equipment such as tasers and grenades. You can play solo, compete with friends, or work together to reach the exit.
The official Really Illegal Golf Discord server is where the golfing trouble continues between sessions. Players can find co-op partners, share ridiculous moments, discuss different approaches to avoiding security, and compare their favourite ways to cause chaos. It’s also a useful place to catch announcements from Pushlab Games.
The developers have already shown that they’re paying attention to how people play. Changes to the demo have addressed problems spotted in gameplay videos and streams, including adjustments to ragdoll movement, guards, and player recovery. Discord provides another channel for following the team’s announcements and keeping up with the game’s development.
