Big Walk is a game where going somewhere is almost the entire point. You and your friends wander through a huge open world, solve puzzles, stumble across strange discoveries and, very often, get distracted by something that was absolutely not part of the plan. It comes from House House, the creators of Untitled Goose Game, and is built specifically around spending time together rather than rushing toward combat or a high score.

The multiplayer design is what makes Big Walk work. You can play with anywhere from two to twelve people, and the world is filled with things that are much easier — or simply much funnier — when several players are involved. Proximity voice chat changes depending on distance and surroundings, while walkie-talkies, megaphones, binoculars, flares, laser pointers and other toys give everyone plenty of ways to communicate. Sometimes you need to coordinate. Sometimes someone is just going to steal the binoculars and throw them into the ocean.

Puzzles are only part of the attraction. Big Walk deliberately leaves room for wandering around, messing with the environment and enjoying the scenery with friends. There is a proper beginning-to-end adventure underneath all that messing about, but the game clearly wants the journey itself to be memorable. Cross-platform multiplayer also means your group does not have to be on the same platform to take the walk together.

The unofficial Big Walk Discord community is especially useful because the game does not have an official Discord or built-in matchmaking. Player-run communities have become a practical way to find people for a session, arrange groups and keep in touch with other Walkers. The community subreddit has also explicitly described its Discord groups as independent rather than House House-endorsed.

That distinction matters. This is a community for Big Walk players, not an official developer support channel, so it works best as a social place around the game. Looking for a few people to fill a group? Want to compare something ridiculous you discovered? Need teammates who actually want to wander around instead of speedrunning everything? That is where an unofficial Discord can be genuinely useful.

Big Walk is at its best when nobody is treating the walk like a checklist. Someone notices something in the distance, another player goes to investigate, somebody else gets distracted, and suddenly the whole group has spent twenty minutes doing something that was never on the original route. The unofficial Discord simply gives that same spirit a place to continue between walks — with players finding groups, swapping stories and planning where to get lost next.
