“Congratulations, Comrade. The army is hungry.” That’s how Potato Please introduces your new responsibility: preparing potatoes for the nation’s food supply. Armed with a knife and a bucket, you start by peeling potatoes individually, trying to remove just enough skin without wasting the edible part. It’s an oddly satisfying first-person simulator wrapped in a humorous Cold War-inspired setting.
Of course, peeling an enormous pile by hand isn’t a particularly efficient way to run a military food operation. As the workload grows, you can improve your tools, collect potatoes in bulk, introduce processing machinery, and gradually automate the entire process. What begins as repetitive kitchen work develops into a small production operation where finding better ways to handle the supply becomes the main challenge.
The official Potato Please Discord server brings together players who have embraced their unusual assignment. It’s a place to share impressions, discuss automation ideas, compare approaches to improving production, and exchange suggestions. Players can also follow announcements from Golden Horn Studios and stay connected with the community as the developers continue working on the game.
